See How Our Fave Fashion Bloggers Style

RI x Ashish

Unless you've been hiding under a rock (or re-watching Love Island, eh-hem) you’ll have heard all about our latest Design Forum collaboration with ‘King of Sequins’ ASHISH. To celebrate the totally amazing collection, and see festival season out in style, we hit up Bestival with some of our blogger BFFs. The weather may have been a little

hit and miss but the festival was anything but 'doom and gloom'!

What do you love about the RI x Ashish Collection?

I love that it’s so diverse. It doesn’t matter what kind of style you’re into, you can take any piece of the collection and make it your own.

What do you think of when you think of Ashish?

The first thing that pops in my mind is the coloured fro’s and outfits on the catwalk at his AW16 collection. From that day on I immediately LOVED Ashish. To me, the brand is mostly about being fun and daring to be bold.

Do you think it's important for fashion to be more gender-neutral?

When I was 12 years old, I used to wear my brother’s jeans as I liked them oversized.

Boyfirend jeans at that time didn’t exist yet. So to answer this question: I think that you can make any item gender-neutral if you are brave enough to do it.

What do you love about the RI x Ashish Collection?

As well as the designs, I love the fact that this collection is gender-neutral. It's great, I can share these pieces with my sister so we can both look sick together.

Which is your favourite piece from the collection and why?

It has to be the Poncho sleeping bag in pink. I love it because its challenging but daring at the same time.

What's your style mantra?

#FLYYALWAYS

Do you think it's important for fashion to be more gender-neutral?

In this day and age, yes I do believe it's important for fashion to be more gender-neutral. Men and women are more experimental than ever and for me women's inspires menswear

What do you love about the RI x Ashish Collection?

First and foremost the pieces themselves, but also wearability and affordability. I've been a big fan of Ashish for years but his pieces are a huge investment so it's amazing to be able to own something like this collection that still captures the essence of what Ashish is all about.

What do you think of when you think of Ashish?

Diversity, genuineness, and sequins (obvs)

Which is your favourite piece from the collection and why?

My personal fav is the yellow and pink sequin and lace dress. I love the colours and the 'underwear as outerwear' vibe I get from the nightdress style slip.

Which is your favourite piece from the collection and why?

The big coat as it also doubles us as a sleeping bag!

Describe the collection in 3 words.

Minimal, muted, experimental

Do you think it's important for fashion to be more gender-neutral?

I think there is only one fashion and if you like

something just wear it, no matter if it was made

for boys or girls.

What do you love about the RI x Ashish Collection?

Aside from the fact that each piece is absolutely perfect? I'm so into designers collaborating with high-street brands so, it gives everyone a chance to get our hands on something by our favourite designers. The RI x Ashish collection gives everyone an opportunity to own an Ashish piece, without the guilt that comes with designer prices!

What do you think of when you think of Ashish?

Sequins, diversity, tongue-in-cheek slogans. I've been to the Ashish show at LFW for many seasons now and every season he produces a stand-out collection. Not only that but Ashish has always championed diversity (- before it became a popular commodity among brands). He showed a line-up of all black models one season, which is something I'd never seen when attending LFW before. Ashish is never afraid to address, and sometimes mock, important pop-culture topics - I'll never forget the season where he made sequined Tesco bags a thing.

Which is your favourite piece from the collection and why?

That's tough! I love the bright, sequin dresses because, for me, they are classic Ashish.

Describe the collection in 3 words.

Really. Very. Good.

What do you think of when you think of Ashish?

Glitter, sequins and non-conformity.

Which is your favourite piece from the collection and why?

My favourite piece has to be the tracksuit bottoms. I wore these the whole time during Bestival and they were so warm and soft. It’s hard to get a good tracksuit that you can still feel boujie in.

What's your favourite style quote?

“Do your own thing. Others own their own thing. If you copy too much, you'll find yourself in a late night cocktail lounge cover band limbo.”

What do you love about the RI x Ashish Collection?

I love glitter, so anything glitter wins me over.

Which is your favourite piece from the collection and why?

I love both the dresses and the pyjamas, they are super comfy and the dresses

can be worn both casual by day and at night.

What's your style mantra?

More is more, always over accessorise.

Do you think it's important for fashion to be more gender-neutral?

I don’t think gender should be considered when dressing up, wear what you feel confident in!

We love the effortlessly cool vibe that comes with this collection. It is super comfy, yet very stylish. Never wore sweatpants to a festival before but totally feeling this one!

Which is your fave piece from the collection and why?

The sweatpants because the fit is really good, super soft and you look ultimately cool no matter what situation you where it.

What's your favourite style quote?
