Q: WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BEING HAYLEY?
Never taking things too seriously and always trying to have fun. I also love how loveable I am; I love being able to give love.
Q: HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED BULLYING OR LABELLING?
The labelling and bullying I’ve experienced has helped me because I’ve turned it into a positive and I think that’s what you need to do. I was bullied when I was younger for my weight but, I look back and it didn’t take over my life. It did maybe in those moments, but I was able to push forward through it as a motive to love myself more.
Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF PLUS AS A LABEL?
I live in a plus size world and industry, but I don’t label myself as that when I’m out and about – I label myself as me ‘this is just me’. I’ve been a plus sized model since I was 14 and it’s only given me light and love.
Q: TELL US ABOUT THE POSITIVE LABEL YOU GAVE YOURSELF?
It’s 100% TRUE TO SELF. I think you need to be true to who you are. Even in the moment. I’m a chameleon and I change all the time, but I enjoy being me. I want to be who I am, and I want to stand out because of that; it’s stronger to be different than it is to be the same.
Q: WHAT'S YOUR TIP FOR SELF-CONFIDENCE?
Know that your flaws make you beautiful, everything that you are makes you beautiful. Whatever opinion someone has of you, your opinion is so much stronger. So, you need to start changing your own opinions of yourself for them to become reality, it’s amazing to be different, there are so many things you are allowed to love yourself for.
Q: WHICH RI PLUS PIECE DO YOU LOVE MOST?
I love everything but my favourite is the suit, which is perfect for colour clashing and these mules are just everything!
