How To: Glam Ghoul Halloween Make-Up

How To: Glam Ghoul Halloween Make-Up

When it comes to Halloween, there’s two types of girls… and if you’re not feeling being Kady from Mean Girls, we’ve got your back. The thought of fancy dress can be scarier than Halloween itself, so this year, ditch the dressing up for dresses and swap the monster mask for make-up!

Glam ghoul is where it’s at, so we called on MUA @hollybakermakeup to show us her step by step guide to creating a subtle yet spooky look! Follow the ‘How To’ below, find that killer outfit here and voila… you’ve gone from fright to night out.

STEP ONE: Brows On Fleek

Fill your brows using your fave brow product, the stronger the better as you want to bring the drama!

Carve out the brow with any flat brush using concealer to create a base for your eyeshadow.

STEP TWO:  Dramatic Eyes

Using a fluffy brush take your first shade of eyeshadow (orange tone) and blend it out.

Don’t worry about being super neat – this will be neatened later on.

Take your next shade (dark brown) and apply in the same direction as your first shadow.

Keep this one slightly lower than your first shade.

Lastly add your final shadow (black), again in the same direction and below the other shadows applied.

STEP THREE: Finishing Touches

Add black eyeliner and colour in the whole lid and waterline to make it super black.

Go over your liner this with your black shadow to connect it to your last blend.

Using a wipe clean away any fallout and create a crisp line benath the shadows.

Conceal under the eye and add the same shadows below your eye to connect them to create a winged effect.

Add your favourite lashes or mascara to tie up your look!

STEP FOUR: Flawless Skin

Use a wet beauty blender to apply your favourite foundation.

Conceal under the eyes ensuring a perfect blend into your foundation

Using a matte bronzer, contour just beneath the cheekbones to give the face a hollow look.

To finish the skin, add highlighter to the top of the cheekbone, down the center of the nose and on the cupids bow. Even vampires glow!

STEP FIVE: Add That Bold Lip

Grab a dark lipstick, purples or reds will work best for this look.

Apply using a lip brush rather than straight from the lipstick to ensure a sharp finish.

STEP SIX: Slay Like Buffy
