You can enter delivery instructions when you're placing your order e.g. "leave with neighbour in flat 1". However River Island are not liable for any parcels that are lost or stolen if specific delivery instructions are left for the carrier.

Delivery will take place between 07:00 and 21:00 and in some cases a signature may be required. If nobody is available when your parcel is delivered and there isn't a safe place to leave the parcel, the delivery driver will leave a calling card with instructions on how to rearrange delivery.

*Orders placed before 21:00 Monday to Friday will be delivered the next day, orders placed after 21:00 on Friday and before 17:00 on Saturday will be delivered on Sunday. Orders placed after 17:00 on Saturday and before 17:00 Sunday will be delivered on Monday. Orders placed before 17:00 on UK Bank Holidays will be delivered the next day (provided the next day isn't also a Bank Holiday). Orders placed after 17:00 on a Bank Holiday will be delivered two days later. We will confirm the expected delivery date at checkout when you place your order.

If someone else is collecting your order on your behalf, to prevent fraud they should present a copy of your "It's Arrived" email, along with proof of their ID (see above).

Please collect your order from store within 14 days. If you do not collect your order within 14 days, your items will be sent back to our warehouse and we will contact you to process a refund.

River Island works with Collect+ and Hermes so you can have your order delivered to any one of their network of local convenience stores. Pick the delivery location that's most convenient for you, choosing either Standard or Express delivery (selected stores only).

Collect+

We will confirm the expected delivery date at checkout when you place your order and your order will be available to collect from 17:00 on the date of delivery.

You will be notified via e-mail when your order arrives and is available for you to collect. If you would also like to receive a text message, you can enter a UK mobile number when selecting the store for collection.

You must bring with you the tracking number Collect+ will send you when your parcel is ready for collection, along with your order confirmation and a proof of identity (see below).

Hermes Parcelshop

For UK deliveries to ParcelShops a valid UK mobile number must be provided when placing your order to receive notification that it is ready to collect from your chosen store.

We will confirm the expected delivery date at checkout when you place your order and you will be notified via e-mail when your order arrives and is available for you to collect.

You must bring with you the email confirming your parcel is ready for collection at your chosen store, along with a proof of identity (see below).

  • Foreign ID card
  • Utility Bill- all valid except mobile phone bills (Landline telephone bills acceptable)

Please note that if you would like someone else to collect the parcel on your behalf, they will either need proof of your identity or identification with the same surname as yours.

We can deliver to the BFPO (British Forces Post Office), but we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes, Hospitals, Airports and Prisons.

Deliveries to the UK

When your order is despatched from our warehouse, we'll send you an email with your tracking number and a link to our carrier’s website to tell you the current status of your delivery. Alternatively you can track parcels within My Account.

Deliveries outside the UK

Problems with your order

My order hasn't been delivered

If your order has not been delivered within the timescales for your country, please Contact Us. Please remember to include your order number within your message as this will help us speed up the search for your order.

If we're unable to locate your parcel, we will send you a ‘Missing Parcel Claim Form’ to sign and return, which will act as a declaration of your claim. Upon receipt of your declaration, we will investigate the claim and advise you of the outcome within 4 working days. If appropriate, a refund will be issued to the credit/debit card used for your purchase.

Faulty item in order

If you think there is a fault with an item you have received, please return it to us to assess.

If any product fails to give reasonable wear - due to either defective workmanship or materials, we will refund you the purchase price. This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.

For customers outside of the UK, we will also refund you an amount to cover your return postage. These amounts vary from country to country and will be refunded to the card you originally used to pay for your order. This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights

Incorrect or missing item in order

If you have received an incorrect item or an item is missing from your order, please Contact Us with details of the error. Please remember to include your order number within your message, as this will help us speed up the search for your order details.

We are unable to deliver on Bank Holidays so please allow an extra working day for this.

Livraison en point relais

River Island travaille désormais avec Hermes ParcelShop pour que vous puissiez recevoir votre livraison dans n'importe lequel des magasins de leur réseau européen. Sélectionnez le lieu de livraison le plus pratique pour vous en choisissant entre la livraison standard et express (dans certains magasins uniquement). Choisissez simplement l'option « Livraison en point relais » lors du paiement lorsque vous passez votre commande.

Vous recevrez un e-mail de notification lorsque votre commande sera prête à être récupérée.

Vous devrez apporter l'e-mail confirmant que votre colis est prêt à être retiré, ainsi que l'un des justificatifs d'identité suivants :
